Delivering at St. Mary's Hospital

St. Mary's Hospital has a long-standing and well-established Maternal and Child program. With the Obstetrics-Gynecology and Family Medicine-Obstetrics groups, we perform over 4500 deliveries a year and are one of the largest birthing centres on the island of Montreal.

We are renowned for our high-quality and patient-centered care and have also been certified by the WHO as a Baby-Friendly hospital.

Medical care is available 24 hours for pregnant women in case of any emergency. Once you have registered for your pregnancy at our hospital, it will be possible for you to attend a virtual tour in order to see the unit and attend prenatal and breastfeeding classes.

You can expect to stay about 36 to 48 hours post-partum after a vaginal delivery and 72 hours after a caesarean section.
